Breaking news: Cronkite Newswatch story on horse slaughter and unwanted horses features Conquistador.
Eleven of the fifteen horses rescued from neglect and squalor have found wonderful families.
Among the horses who have found their forever families are Caudio de Colorado (formerly Zantenon) who was adopted by Corrales, NM residents, Debra and Bill Vargas. Colorado could not have found a more perfect home as the most recent magnificent photographs on the right of Colorado demonstrate.
Young stallion Juan Enrique also has found his forever family with lifetime horseman Dick Chapman and his wife Elaine. Dick is Juan's very best friend.

The Conquistador Equine Rescue & Advocacy Program is a nonprofit 501c3 equine welfare organization. Federal tax identification #20-8776240.
